About Us
Pakistan Peoples Party
Islam is our Faith. Democracy is our Politics. Socialism is our Economy.
All Power to the People. Martyrdom Is Our Path
Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto strengthened democracy in the country, uniting it under the Constitution. As the beloved leader of Pakistan’s first democratic Party, he successfully structured and delivered to us the unanimous Constitution of 1973.
Pakistan Peoples Party was born at a time of immense darkness, but it emerged as a light that drowned out the injustices and oppression from society. To this day, PPP continues to strengthen democracy in Pakistan despite threats of the system. Our dedication to a progressive Pakistan is powerfully complemented by the farsighted leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who has successfully risen to the challenge of leadership which was thrust upon him, like his mother Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and his grandfather Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto before him.
PPP has a storied history of battling extremism and threats to Pakistan’s integrity. The sacrifices of our workers and leaders have paved the way for a resilient Pakistan, exemplified by our leaders who gave their lives for the cause.
Under Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s guidance, PPP renewed its pledge to eradicate extremism and build a truly democratic state where all Pakistanis have equal opportunities, as envisioned in the 1973 Constitution.
Representing diverse Pakistanis, the PPP stands resolute against fanatical ideologies, promoting modernism and equality. More than 50 years ago, the Party emerged as a beacon of hope, giving voice to the voiceless and inspiring support for its manifesto. From 1967 to 2018, PPP has steadfastly upheld the values and principles of its founder, Quaid-e-Awam Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, continually striving for a brighter future.

In these five decades, PPP has led the charge for social and civil reforms nationwide, setting precedents in constitutional law and establishing a strong national presence. This enduring impact is reflected in the five times the people of Pakistan elected PPP into federal government: 1970, 1977, 1988, 1993, and 2008.
Our charismatic leaders, each in their unique way, captivated and engaged audiences with their energy and sincerity. Our slogan, “Roti, Kapra Aur Makaan,” embodies our unwavering dedication to meeting basic needs, empowering people with fundamental rights, and placing them at the heart of power. Our workers have unwaveringly supported the Party through every struggle, cementing the PPP’s role as a democratic force.
PPP has remained true to its core beliefs, with its quest for a democratic Pakistan and people’s empowerment at the core of its political stance. The Party resonates deeply with the people, who reciprocate this affection with steadfast support for our shared goals.
